Bring a pen

This allows you to soak in the atmosphere, meet the team, and get familiar with the pub's layout.
Introduce yourself
Speak to the manager on duty; they'll show you the table numbers and key service areas.
Observe the team
Take a few minutes to watch how the team works together and feel the rhythm of the pub before jumping in.

Presentation is key – it reflects pride in our team and respect for our guests.
Men: Black trousers, ironed shirt with a collar, clean shoes.

Serving drinks or helping at the bar

🧽 Table & Cleaning Standards
When we say "wiping a table," it means a comprehensive clean: wipe the entire surface and all edges — leaving no spot forgotten.
Move any items on the table (flowers, salt & pepper, menus, etc.)
Wipe under them as well as around them
The goal: leave the table spotless and welcoming for the next guest

Waiter Progression
Your progression journey as a waiter is designed to build your skills and confidence step-by-step. Each stage is crucial for mastering the essentials of our service.
1. Learning Table Numbers
Memorize all table numbers and their locations. This foundational knowledge is key to efficient service.
2. Cleaning Tables & Serving Drinks
Maintain high cleanliness standards for all tables, ensuring surfaces and edges are spotless. Learn the proper technique for serving drinks efficiently and safely.
3. Setting Tables Perfectly
Master basic and second lay-ups. Attention to detail ensures a premium dining experience for every guest.
4. Learning the Pass & Running Food
Understand kitchen pass operations, including checking orders for accuracy, communicating with kitchen staff, and accurately delivering food.
5. Taking Food Orders
Only after fully grasping the system and entire menu should you begin taking food orders. This ensures confident answers and correct order processing.
